How to check if your email has been read

Have you ever wondered if and when your e-mail gets read? I can show you in a few simple steps how to get a delivery or read report email sent to you as soon as the recipient of the email opens the email.

I use a service called spypig. Its free and easy to use (you don't have to even sign up for anything) and it works with any email service.

This is how:

Step 1 :
Write your email :

Step 2 :

Step 3 :
Fill out the necessary information on the Spypigs form as seen below:

The Spypigs forms steps:
  1. Your email address: They don't send you spam, this is so they can send you a delivery or read report.
  2. Your message title: This is the title of the email you are about to send.
  3. Select your SpyPig tracking image: i normally use a blank image on my emails, but for this example i am going to choice the " i know you've read my email" image.
  4. Click to create my Spypig: This creates an image that allows Spypig to track your email.
  5. Copy & paste the SpyPig image above into your email message: Copy the image into your email.
  6. Send your email as usual.
This is what the form looks like with the different fields:

This is what your email will look like once the image has been pasted into your email. If you past the blank image in you wont see anything but don't worry its there.

Step 4 :
Once you have sent your email and the email is opened by the recipient  of that email, Spypig will send you an email that looks like image below, to say that your email has been opened.
