It’s really frustrating when your
Internet slows down or Streams break and buffers over and over, and stuff seems
to take FOREVER to download.
This could be due to few factors:
- Neighborhood Node Connection
- Connection Theft
- Up/Down Overload
- Malware
- Physical Problems
But most of the
time is just your internet company throttling your line. Just few Command prompt commands
to reject certain IP addresses and you be back to fast YouTube
streaming.
Why do these commands create a better streaming
experience? Internet providers throttle
downloads from servers that host cached videos. By rejecting these IP address
ranges you will force the video to be served to you directly. This harnesses
the full download speed of your internet connection allowing you to maximize the
way you use your internet. (check this video out to see the effects of reflecting your IP)
For Windows:
Simply open your Command Prompt. (if you don't know how to find that
follow one of these links and then come back to carry on. Command Prompt in Windows 8 or other windows versions )
Now select this text :
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule
name=-MITCHRIBARYTUBE- dir=in action=block remoteip=173.194.55.0-24,206.111.0.0-16 enable=yes
and right click copy and then right click past it into
you your command prompt. As seen below:

Now hit enter
and then Your Done.
To stop this go to your command prompt
and past this in:
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule
name=-MITCHRIBARYTUBE- dir=in action=block remoteip=173.194.55.0-24,206.111.0.0-16 enable=yes
Now everything is back to its slow self
or your original settings.
For Mac:
Open up your terminal and run these commands (you will be
prompted for the admin password):
sudo ipfw add reject src-ip 173.194.55.0/24 in
sudo ipfw add reject src-ip 206.111.0.0/16 in
You can check the rules were added by using this command:
sudo ipfw list
Can I fix this on my xbox? We are watching youtube shows and all of a sudden its buffering every often, from 30 seconds to 15 etc. Please help!

ReplyDeleteChoose lower video quality settings (such as 240p and 360p) from the gear icon in the bottom right side of the video player.
Start the video and then click the Pause button immediately. Wait for the gray video progress bar to load a bit before clicking Play.
Change your video player settings to not default to the highest quality stream.
Try watching a shorter video; the shorter the video, the less time it takes to load.
Ho to know your internet connection is slow ???
Just simple task . You can test your internet speed by using Scanmyspeed.com . through that test results, you can come to know your internet speed results .
I should try this hack as my youtube sometimes runs too slow.
