What 200 Calories look like in different foods

Have you ever wondered what 200 calories look like in different foods. Wisegeek conducted a very visual and informative study and presented a photo series, which compares what 200 calories actually look like in different foods. The results are surprising, for example:  You’d think a handful of gummy bears couldn’t hurt much, right..? Well, turns out, just 51 gram of those gives you the same amount of calories as nearly 600 grams of broccoli or 3 whole eggs would. And now be honest – which of those amounts sounds more alike a proper and filling meal to you?

The study compares 71 different foods, and is originally organized going from low to high calorie density. You can really tell how the quantities are getting smaller towards the end of the list! Statistically an average adult needs 2000-2500 calories a day, but this, of course, differs depending on how physically active you are. So for those who don’t hesitate to sweat in the gym, a spoonful of peanut butter is a lot less of a sin!

How to check if your email has been read

Have you ever wondered if and when your e-mail gets read? I can show you in a few simple steps how to get a delivery or read report email sent to you as soon as the recipient of the email opens the email.

I use a service called spypig. Its free and easy to use (you don't have to even sign up for anything) and it works with any email service.

This is how:

Step 1 :
Write your email :

Step 2 :

Step 3 :
Fill out the necessary information on the Spypigs form as seen below:

The Spypigs forms steps:
  1. Your email address: They don't send you spam, this is so they can send you a delivery or read report.
  2. Your message title: This is the title of the email you are about to send.
  3. Select your SpyPig tracking image: i normally use a blank image on my emails, but for this example i am going to choice the " i know you've read my email" image.
  4. Click to create my Spypig: This creates an image that allows Spypig to track your email.
  5. Copy & paste the SpyPig image above into your email message: Copy the image into your email.
  6. Send your email as usual.
This is what the form looks like with the different fields:

This is what your email will look like once the image has been pasted into your email. If you past the blank image in you wont see anything but don't worry its there.

Step 4 :
Once you have sent your email and the email is opened by the recipient  of that email, Spypig will send you an email that looks like image below, to say that your email has been opened.

How to stop YOU TUBE from running slow

It’s really frustrating when your Internet slows down or Streams break and buffers over and over, and stuff seems to take FOREVER to download.

This could be due to few factors:

  • Neighborhood Node Connection
  • Connection Theft
  • Up/Down Overload
  • Malware
  • Physical Problems

But most of the time is just your internet company throttling your line.  Just few Command prompt commands to reject certain IP addresses and you be back to fast YouTube streaming Doing this will cause the stream to take 1 - 2 seconds to start because of the IP rejection handling, but then you are greeted with a silky smooth, ultra fast experience.

Why do these commands create a better streaming experience? Internet providers  throttle downloads from servers that host cached videos. By rejecting these IP address ranges you will force the video to be served to you directly. This harnesses the full download speed of your internet connection allowing you to maximize the way you use your internet. (check this video out to see the effects of reflecting your IP)

For Windows:

Simply open your Command Prompt. (if you don't know how to find that follow one of these links and then come back to carry on.  Command Prompt in Windows 8 or other windows versions )

Now select this text :

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name=-MITCHRIBARYTUBE- dir=in action=block remoteip=173.194.55.0-24,206.111.0.0-16 enable=yes

and right click copy and then right click past it into you your command prompt. As seen below:

Image 1 - Copy Text

Image 2 - Paste Text

Now hit enter
and then Your Done.

To stop this go to your command prompt and past this in:

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name=-MITCHRIBARYTUBE- dir=in action=block remoteip=173.194.55.0-24,206.111.0.0-16 enable=yes

Now everything is back to its slow self or your original settings.

For Mac:

Open up your terminal and run these commands (you will be prompted for the admin password):

sudo ipfw add reject src-ip 173.194.55.0/24 in
sudo ipfw add reject src-ip 206.111.0.0/16 in

You can check the rules were added by using this command:

sudo ipfw list

 enjoy
